Welcome to The Silurian Choir's home page.

The Silurian Choir is a new choral and orchestral music society formed in January 2002 under the joint musical directorship of Neil Fortin and John Wilderspin. Our aim is to prepare and present a minimum of 3 different musical programmes each year using both orchestral and organ accompaniment as funds allow.

Our most recent preformances have been a well received performance of Handel's Judas Maccabeus, in Tewkesbury Abbey, a much enjoyed Carol Concert in St. Mary's Church Twyning, and most recently a programme of Music and Readings for Good Friday, including Mozart's Requiem, in St. Mary's Church, Charlton Kings.

Christmas Music


Our next concert is a varied programme of Music for Advent and Christmas
in Holy Apostles' Church, Charlton Kings on Saturday 4th December.
The programme includes Pergolesi's Magnificat, Finzi's "In Terra Pax"
and the "Vaughan Williams Fantasia on Christmas Carols".

We offer a friendly welcome to singers and orchestral players alike.

The Silurian Choir will consider giving concerts in any church in the Gloucestershire/Worcestershire area provided there is an organ of at least 2 manuals in a reasonable state of repair. We would be delighted to hear from any parish that would like to include a concert in their social or fund raising calendar.
